The Nigerian Satellite Week
THE NIGERIAN SATELLITE WEEK: 16TH – 19TH OCTOBER 2024 
The Nigerian Communications Satellite Limited (NIGCOMSAT) is pleased to announce the maiden edition of the Nigerian Satellite Week. This 4-day event, scheduled to hold from 16th – 19th October 2024, will bring together domestic and international stakeholders from both the public and private sectors to discuss pertinent trends in the industry. It will also provide a platform for organisations to showcase their products and services to a vast audience comprising of Satellite Operators, Original Equipment Manufacturers, Internet Service Providers, Broadcasting Organisations, Security Agencies and Government Institutions, among others.
THEME:
"Empowering Nigeria’s Digital Future: Innovations in Satellite Technology and Entrepreneurship"
This theme highlights the dual focus of the Nigerian Satellite Week—showcasing cutting-edge innovations from startups in the NIGCOMSAT Accelerator Programme and engaging stakeholders in shaping the future of Nigeria’s satellite and digital ecosystem. It reflects the event’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, driving technological advancement, and building a sustainable digital future for Nigeria.
Objectives:
- To foster dialogue and drive the advancement of satellite technology in Nigeria
- To feature a demonstration of the maiden edition of the NIGCOMSAT Accelerator Programme
- To bring NIGCOMSAT’s stakeholders together to discuss latest advancements in satellite technology, challenges and opportunities
- To serve as a catalyst for fostering partnerships between public and private entities
- To encourage investment in satellite technology
- To promote research and development initiatives
- To create a platform for knowledge sharing, innovation and collaboration
- To build a robust satellite ecosystem that supports Nigeria's socio-economic growth and positions the country as a leader in the African space industry

To announce the commencement of the Nigerian Satellite Week, which will be celebrated between the 16th & 19th of October, annually.
