The Nigerian Society of Engineers (Space Engineering Division) held a one-day interactive seminar at the NIGCOMSAT headquarters in Abuja today. The theme of the seminar was "Improving Nigeria's socio-economic development through space science and technology".
Engr. Otis Oliver Anyaeji (FNSE, FAEng), the President of the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE), Executive Members and other guests from the space engineering division/industry attended the seminar.
The Space Engineering Division of the Nigerian Society of Engineers is the 17th division of the NSE. Amongst its cardinal objectives is to ensure the professional development of Engineers in the space sector through effective capacity building initiatives. The division will also serve as an interface between the NSE and the Federal Government on all space-related matters such as research, policy formulation and implementation, among others.
