The Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited is a Government owned limited liability company established on the 4th of April, 2006 presently under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Communication and Digital Economy. NIGCOMSAT is responsible for the management and operation of Nigerian Communications Satellite (NigComSat-1R), a geostationary satellite launched on the 19th of December 2011. It is the first of its kind in Sub Saharan Africa due to its uniqueness. NigComSat-1R satellite is a quad (4) band satellite designed specifically to address the connectivity needs of Africa, covering parts of Asia and Europe. The quad band frequencies includes; C-band, Ku-band, Ka-band and L-band.The desire to connect the unconnected via satellite in Africa is NIGCOMSATs aspiration. We provide innovation and cutting edge satellite solutions. NIGCOMSAT offers a range of tailored solutions such as Transponder Lease (C-band, Ku-band, Ka-band and L-band), Broadband Connectivity, Navigation Services, and Satellite Broadcasting. These services are offered to Broadcasters, data and telecommunications services providers, Internet services providers (ISPs), Government organizations as well as enterprises and corporates organizations.The company has her headquarters in Abuja with strategic business offices in Lagos, Kaduna and Gombe.
